CTR raised from less than 1% to 3.51%, and poor conversion rates to 15.7%

This is an account we took over from another agency – and quickly transformed the results.

Our client is a government tourist office in the UK.  Its campaigns are seasonal. Their purpose is to entice visitors to a specific area by offering a download of discount vouchers for a number of venues; the visitor then redeems these at the venue.

We started managing this account after they had completed one campaign. Then, CTR had been less than 1% and conversions (voucher downloads) very low.

Within two weeks of our management, we had increased CTR to 3.17% and conversions to 14.12%. We had also reduced the cost per click (CPC) by more than half. For example, on a £2000 spend, this would mean a saving of more than £1000 for the same number of clicks. And probably for the same number of conversions.

We have since managed further campaigns for this client along the same lines – with even greater success.  For instance, our latest pay per click work saw CTR on Google Search rise to 3.51% and conversion rates to an average 15.7%.  In some campaigns, conversion rates reached over 30%.
